BEEMS

Bed User Readings

These readings are captured while the Bed User is in bed, helping Caregivers stay informed and understand changes over time.

Heart Rate

61

bpm

Within usual range

What does this means?

Shows the detected number of heartbeats per minute while a supported reading is available.

What can affect it?

Heart rate can vary with activity, rest, medication, stress and individual health.

General reference (adults)

60 – 100 bpm / min

Commonly cited resting range for adults

Respiratory Rate

16

/ min

Within usual range

What does this means?

Shows the Bed User’s detected breathing rate, measured in breaths per minute, while they are in bed.

What can affect it?

Respiratory rate can vary with activity, rest, medication, stress and individual health.

General reference (adults)

12 – 18 breaths / min

Commonly cited resting range for adults

Everyone’s usual pattern can be different.

A single reading only provides part of the picture, so it can be more useful to look at changes and patterns over time.

A fuller picture for everyday care.

Each reading tells one part of the story. Looking at patterns over time can help you better understand the Bed User’s usual routine and notice when something changes.

Room environment Readings

BEEMS also monitors the environment around the Bed User, providing additional context about the comfort and ventilation of the room.

Room Temperature

26.1

°C

Comfortable range

What does this means?

Shows the temperature of the room where the BEEMS Monitoring Mat is being used.

What can affect it?

Room temperature can vary with weather, air-conditioning, ventilation, sunlight and the time of day.

General indoor comfort reference - Singapore

24 – 28 °C

A commonly referenced indoor comfort range for air-conditioned spaces in Singapore. Individual comfort preferences may vary.

CO2

590

ppm

Good ventilation

What does this means?

Shows the level of carbon dioxide in the room. Higher levels can indicate that the space may be less well ventilated.

What can affect it?

CO₂ levels can increase when more people are in the room, when doors and windows are closed, or when there is limited fresh-air ventilation.Singapore Ventilation

Singapore ventilation reference

< 800 ppm

Generally consistent with good ventilation.

800 – 1,100 ppm

Consider improving ventilation.

> 1,100 ppm

Above reference level.

*Provided as a general ventilation reference. Applicable requirements may vary by premises type.

TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds)

84

ppb

Low

What does this means?

Shows the combined level of volatile organic compounds detected in the room, measured in parts per billion (ppb).

What can affect it?

TVOC levels can be influenced by everyday sources such as cleaning products, fragrances, paints, adhesives, new furniture and other materials, as well as ventilation.

General reference

Lower levels are generally preferable. Look at changes and trends over time rather than relying on a single reading. If TVOC levels remain elevated, consider improving ventilation and checking for possible indoor sources.

Reading BEEMS in context

A single reading rarely tells the whole story. BEEMS helps you look at supported readings, activity and room information together, so you can better understand patterns over time and decide when it may be appropriate to check in.

Important note

BEEMS is an assistive care monitoring service. It is not a medical device, and its readings should not be used to diagnose a medical condition, make treatment decisions or replace professional medical advice.
